  Platform for managing and planning transport vehicles for shorex activities for cruise ships at the ports of Leixões and Madeira. Coordinates and monitors cruise passenger transport operations.

  Real-time Weather and Maritime Conditions

  Period: Oct 2025 - Present

  Comprehensive weather monitoring platform for the ports of Leixões and Viana do Castelo. Integrates real-time data from APDL meteorological stations, IH oceanographic buoys, and IPMA forecasts. Displays tide tables, wind conditions, wave heights, and maritime forecasts for safe port operations.

  Port Security and Emergency Plan Management - PSE

  Period: Sep 2025 - Present

  Geospatial application for managing APDL's Security and Emergency Plan (Plano de Segurança e Emergência). Enables real-time tracking, reporting, and coordination of port incidents, occurrences, and emergency responses across port facilities.

  Port Traffic Management

  Period: Sep 2024 - Present

  An ecosystem of geospatial digital solutions for port traffic management. Integrates AIS and JUL/JUP, providing a space-time view of present, past and future operations. Optimizes vessel circulation, reduces congestion and keeps teams informed about maneuvers, reporting points and departure dispatches.

  Ship Schedule and Port Operations Dashboard

  Period: Jan 2025 - Aug 2025

  A geospatial platform developed to provide a real-time view of port operations at the Port of Leixões. Designed for agents and external entities, it offers access to updated data on vessel movements, arrival and departure forecasts, as well as information on port calls and voyage histories.

  Interactive real-time map displaying vessel positions and movements across the ports of Leixões, Viana do Castelo, and Douro. Integrates AIS data with port infrastructure, enabling live tracking and historical playback of ship activities.

  Port Maneuver Planning

  Period: Nov 2024 - Jul 2025

  An innovative geospatial platform that applies the Pilot Passage Plan at the Port of Leixões. Facilitates planning, execution and monitoring of maneuvers, ensuring navigation safety and efficiency. Integrates AIS data, bathymetry, tides and weather conditions to support decision-making at each maneuver phase. Allows definition of waypoints, reporting points and recommended speeds, ensuring compliance with best pilotage practices.

  Monitoring of the Douro Waterway

  A geospatial monitoring platform that integrates data from the Douro River, its tributaries, and lock and dam infrastructures. With an intelligent buoyage system and incident management, the platform ensures compliance with the Douro Waterway Maritime Safety Plan. Allows real-time monitoring of river conditions and operations, optimizing navigation and ensuring the safety of all river activities.

  Enterprise GIS Platform for Land Management and Port Infrastructures

  An enterprise-grade geospatial information system (GIS) platform specifically designed for managing complex port infrastructures at APDL and APRAM. The platform integrates advanced geospatial technologies for comprehensive management of port domain areas, including cadastral information, lease contracts, infrastructure assets, and real-time operational monitoring. Features include interactive mapping, spatial analysis, asset tracking, document management, and workflow automation. Built with Leaflet.js and PostGIS, the system provides a centralized solution for spatial data management, enabling efficient decision-making for port authorities. Supports multi-user collaboration, role-based access control, and seamless integration with existing port management systems.

  Integrates geospatial technologies for intelligent control of containerized dangerous cargo in APDL port areas. The platform uses real-time geospatial data, combining sensors, tracking and location monitoring to ensure safety and compliance in port operations. With GIS integration, 3Park enables precise tracking of dangerous cargo movements, optimizing logistics and minimizing associated risks, while ensuring operational efficiency and safety in port areas.

  An advanced platform developed for vessel monitoring and port traffic planning, integrated in the ports of APDL, APRAM and APSS. The solution enables efficient geospatial planning of maneuvers and resources, facilitating safe and optimized traffic management in port zones. The platform uses AIS data to monitor vessels in real time, enabling tracking of movements, maneuver management and optimization of port resources.

  A management and control platform for Shorex operations developed for APRAM port zones. This integrated solution enables monitoring, coordinating and optimizing Shorex operations (cruise passenger transport services) in real time, ensuring logistical efficiency and safety in port operations. The platform facilitates management of different operational phases, providing a detailed real-time view of movements and services.

• GeoNorte

  Geospatial Information System for the Northern Region of CCDRN

  Period: Jan 2020 - Jul 2024

  A Geographic Information System developed by CCDRN, designed to centralize and provide relevant geospatial data for the management and planning of the Northern Region of Portugal. The platform integrates information on land use planning, environment, infrastructure and mobility, facilitating analysis and strategic decision-making. GeoNorte supports sustainable development of the region, promoting efficiency in public management and cooperation between local and regional entities.

  Intelligent Management of Port Infrastructures

  Period: Jun 2020 - Sep 2023

  A project funded by IDT PT2020, focused on developing Intelligent Port Infrastructure Management solutions. A collaboration between LNEC, UMinho, APDL and 3Maps. The main objective is to apply innovative technologies to optimize the management and monitoring of port infrastructures, improving operational efficiency, safety and sustainability. Through the integration of advanced data analysis systems, sensors and geospatial platforms, GIIP aims to transform port management.

  Digital Revolution in Construction PT2020

  Period: Jul 2020 - Jun 2023

  A mobilizing project within PT2020, focused on the digital transformation of construction in Portugal, with the integration of technologies such as BIM (Building Information Modeling). Involves collaboration between reference entities such as BIMMS, IC-FEUP, LNEC, INESC TEC, IST, BUILT CoLAB, UMinho, IP, Mota-Engil, TDGI, Teixeira Duarte and AdF. The objective is to promote innovation in the construction sector through process digitalization, improving project management and increasing operational efficiency.

  Geospatial Information System for the Ports of Leixões, Viana, and Douro

  Period: Aug 2013 - Jan 2019

  A Geographic Information System created for integrated and efficient management of the Ports of Leixões, Viana do Castelo and Douro. The platform centralizes geospatial data on port infrastructure, domain registry, hydrography, security and heritage, allowing precise visualization and detailed analysis of port territory.

  A Geographic Information System platform developed for integrated territorial management of the Porto Metropolitan Area, in accordance with the European Union's INSPIRE directive. Through centralization of spatial data, this platform facilitates access and sharing of information on infrastructure, mobility, environment, urbanism and other domains, promoting interoperability between systems and sustainability in urban and regional planning.

• DouroValley - CCDRN

  GeoPortal for Promoting the Douro

  Period: Mar 2010 - Aug 2013

  A GeoPortal developed by CCDR-N to promote and disseminate the natural, cultural and tourist heritage of the Douro. Through interactive maps and geospatial data, the platform allows exploring the region's richness, highlighting points of interest, tourist routes, vineyards and UNESCO-classified landscapes. An essential tool for tourists, researchers and local entities seeking to know and value this unique territory.

  Geospatial Platform for the CIM Ave

  A Geographic Information System developed for the Ave Intermunicipal Community (CIM Ave), aggregating and providing regional territorial data. Integrating detailed cartography, urban planning and environmental information, SigAve facilitates management and spatial analysis to support decision-making in the region's municipalities, promoting a more efficient and sustainable approach to land use planning.
